About Nancy J. Schneider

My Goal Is To Help You Find Your Inner Voice And Achieve Your Creative Potential

I believe that all people are inherently creative beings. This is our true nature. Over the course of our lives, however, many of us receive harmful messages that stifle our true creative potential and suppress the inner voice that’s in each of us. Trauma and suffering lead to negative beliefs about ourselves, creating insecurity and fear.

As a therapist, my job is to provide the support and insight needed to help you break through your own insecurities and rediscover your inner voice. Using the arts and a variety of other creative approaches, I want to help you explore yourself on a deeper level and find new ways to overcome your challenges.

My Interest In Exploring The Unconscious Fuels My Approach To Therapy

The word “unconscious” may seem scary and elusive to a lot of people. Nonetheless, so much of what happens in life happens beneath the surface of conscious awareness. By getting to know the unconscious parts of ourselves, we can see our problems in a clearer light and unlock our true creativity.

As a therapist—and as a human being—I have always been interested in unlocking the mysteries of the unconscious. When I was young, I fell in love with photography and used it as a way to explore myself. When I viewed my photos, I found that they reflected things about my emotional state that I hadn’t realized on my own. In this way, art became a portal into the deeper parts of myself.

Today in therapy, I prioritize exploring the unconscious through the use of art, Jungian psychotherapy, and many other approaches. I specialize in helping people with anxiety, parenting, aging, and major life transitions. I also work with children, teens, and people on the neurodivergent spectrum. As the parent of someone with learning disabilities, I understand that a huge portion of the population processes differently from others. I think therapy should be as much for them as it is for everyone else.

No matter what my clients’ struggles are, I enjoy holding space for them to share their story and helping them find ways to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

A Little Bit About Who I Am

I aspire to live a well-rounded life, as evidenced by my many areas of interest. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, making art, long-distance walking, and spending time in nature. In addition to being a therapist, I have experience as a teaching artist, a legal assistant, and a mixed media artist.

I have studied shamanism, energy medicine, eco-therapy, and Jungian psychotherapy. I enjoy incorporating these diverse approaches into my therapeutic work. My eclectic background enables me to work with clients on a variety of issues and help them improve every facet of their life.
